Helen Foster

Development Officer

Having worked in homelessness and housing for 20 years, Helen joined the NPRAS team in October 2017. She has a BA (Hons) in Housing Studies from Sheffield Hallam University and is currently studying part time with the Open University for a BSc (Hons) in Computing and IT. Helen is highly experienced in tenancy management, support work, tenancy sustainment and homelessness and currently manages the NPRAS team. Helen is very proud of the team and the impact the service is making in rehousing the homeless in Nottingham. Helen is continuously looking for ways to innovate and improve the NPRAS service to Landlord and tenants, ensuring the NPRAS team delivers the best service they possibly can.

Louise Johnson

Development Officer

Louise has worked for Housing Aid for the past nine years, although has been part of the NPRAS team since its inception in 2017. She previously worked in supported housing management. Louise brings a wealth of housing knowledge and experience, which certainly strengthens the expertise of the NPRAS team. Louise deals with many homeless prevention cases as well as sourcing properties and securing tenancies with private Landlords. She enjoys the versatility and challenge of the role as every day brings something new.

Robert Demaine-Cooper

Development Officer

Prior to working for the NPRAS team Rob worked across Children and Families Social Care for over 10 years, working between children and families and Youth Offending Team. Rob is highly experienced in supporting individuals and families through challenging times. Rob re-joined the NPRAS team in 2017 and completes many of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System assessments (HHSRS), ensuring the properties offered meet health and safety standards. Rob works tirelessly to the support the team rehouse individuals and families who are reliant on the assistance of the NPRAS service.

Pok Ieong

Development Officer

Pok specialises in homelessness prevention within the NPRAS team, focusing on mediation and sustainable solutions. Pok joined NPRAS in 2019 and prior to this worked in Procurement for an organisation of the largest housing associations in and around Greater London. Pok was involved with development projects around the UK. This experience has provided him with invaluable problem solving skills, which he is able to use with many of his homeless prevention cases. Pok finds working with families and supporting them into a new home very rewarding and he is very proud to work with the citizens of Nottingham.

Katarzyna Swiatczak

Rough Sleeper Specialist

Katarzyna is the NPRAS’ team’s Rough Sleeper Specialist, finding suitable accommodation for those who are facing the challenging reality of rough sleeping. Katarzyna is highly experienced with working with those with complex needs and in difficult situations. She previously worked for the Street Outreach Team for Framework for two and a half years, carrying out a similar role. Katarzyna joined the NPRAS team in 2019 and is very compassionate, with a good understanding of the individual’s needs and how to approach them. She recognises whether it is necessary to sign post to other relevant services for support. Katarzyna finds her job very rewarding especially when individuals secure successful tenancies and makes a positive change to their lives.

Edward Rowlands

Social Lettings Officer

Edward joined the NPRAS team in January 2020. He has worked in Construction Management in the private sector for over 15 years and brings many transferable skills he has acquired through surveying and project management. Edward is a certified Party Wall Surveyor and has carried out many condition surveys, including on airport buildings. He is familiar with managing projects in the housing sector, including sheltered housing schemes, student accommodation and new build MOD barracks and additionally has experience with office buildings and university facilities. Edward is highly experienced in regards to building safety and is very committed to NPRAS’ goal of providing safe and stable homes to the people of Nottingham who need the service the most.

Emerald Salmon

Social Lettings Officer

Emerald has worked in housing for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience working with individuals facing challenging circumstances. Emerald previously worked for a housing association for 18 years as a Senior Project Officer, working with the criminal justice system to accommodate individuals requiring housing following release from custody. Emerald is very experienced with supporting homeless individuals and previously worked as a Homelessness Support Worker engaging with individuals referred from the drug and alcohol services in the city. Emerald joined the NPRAS team in June 2019 and endeavours to achieve the best outcome to end the cycle of homelessness and the knock on effect it has on families and individuals.

Jacqueline Sivier

Social Lettings Officer

Although Jacqueline joined the NPRAS team in early 2021, she has worked for Housing Aid for 18 years. She brings a wealth of housing knowledge to the team, having worked as a front facing Housing Advisor for most of her career. Jacqueline is very adaptable in her approach to work and offers a great ear and sympathetic nature to ensure she meets the needs of the customers by going that extra mile to help those that access the service and need the support the most.

Chloe Durack-Robinson

Business Support Officer

Chloe graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2020 after completing a History degree. Prior to joining the NPRAS team in the same year, Chloe worked part-time in the University of Nottingham Students’ Union helping to achieve various campaign goals. Compassionate Chloe really enjoyed working in the charity sector. She is very passionate about helping others and has found her charity experience an helpful transition into local government and joining the NPRAS team. Chloe hopes to develop her career within housing as she finds helping homeless families very rewarding and

Clair Marshall

Social Lettings Officer

Clair joined the NPRAS team in January 2021. Prior to this, Clair was a Business Systems Improvement Manager for a large construction company. She was required to digitally map customer journey’s to ensure the company was offering the best service and Clair is now able to offer this invaluable customer service skillset to the NPRAS service users. Clair previously worked for Nottingham City Homes for over 10 years and was responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience was delivered to tenants during major refurbishments and repairs to their homes. Clair enjoys supporting people facing different challenges and is passionate about helping them to set goals to overcome their adversities and move forward.

Andrew Ashaye

Social Lettings Officer

Andrew is highly experienced in working in customer facing roles, an invaluable skillset he has drawn upon for most of his career. His education in Housing began with Southwark Council, one of the capitals largest landlords. He has a vast knowledge within social housing, having worked in various departments including temporary accommodation, as a Housing Officer and a Regeneration Officer on one of the largest rehousing projects in Europe at that time. Andrew is compassionate and brings an holistic approach to his role as one of the members of the Rough Sleepers team.

Nosheen Iqbal

Business Support Officer

Nosheen joined the NPRAS team in September 2018, having worked for children and family services for five years. Nosheen worked alongside social workers and family support workers and has a great understanding of assisting families and individuals with support needs. She conducts many administrative duties within the team and is a tower of help and support. Nosheen is very empathetic and receives great satisfaction in helping those in difficult situations, which is why she is so proud to be part of the NPRAS team.

Ross Daughtrey

Social Lettings Officer

Ross joined the NPRAS team in 2019 and has a background in benefits and social housing. Ross is very analytical and is great with numbers and problem solving. With an in-depth knowledge of housing benefits and entitlement, Ross provides great strength to the NPRAS team.

Naomi Sutherland

Landlord Liaison Officer

Following a career in the creative industry, Naomi joined the NPRAS team in 2019. She has a keen interest in housing and finding suitable properties for homeless individuals and families. With her local knowledge and key eye for detail, Naomi brings a motivating dynamic to the team. With over 20 years’ experience working in customer focused roles, Naomi is very attentive and works hard to ensure landlord and tenants have a smooth letting experience. Naomi is very passionate about helping local residents and appreciates the invaluable service the NPRAS team offers.

James Bijou

Landlord Liaison Officer

Having joined the NPRAS team in December 2019 James’ role as a Landlord Liaison Officer was to attract new Landlords to the NPRAS scheme and assist in securing long term rented properties for those who need it the most. With an in-depth knowledge of the lettings industry, having worked as a Letting Agent for several years, James is great at building working relationships and a key member of the management team. James has an NVQ in Residential Lettings and Property Management and is very keen to improve the housing crisis in Nottingham by finding settled accommodation whilst also providing a great service to Landlords.
